Saul was commanded by God to destroy all the Amalekites and their belongings for their evil treatment of Israel after coming out of Egypt. Saul took it upon himself to determine what was good and needed to be spared, and what was vile. On top of sparing the "best" sheep and oxen he chose to leave their king alive. God's disapproval of Saul's behavior cost him his position as king over Israel. How often do we interpret what God commands us to do in a way which is most convenient for our likes and dislikes? We Have Seen Strange Things Today
In this day and age, when people go out of their way in order to help others, it’s a very strange sight. When God’s people learn to cooperate and sacrifice for the sake of others, miracles take place
Isaiah 6 is one of my favorite chapters in the Bible. Listen to what had to be accomplished before a mission work could be done.
The woman that anointed the head of Jesus is one of the most well known women in the Bible, yet her name is not mentioned. The memories of her are sweet because she gave what was most20precious. What could we do for the Lord if we ever relinquished that thing most precious to us.
The Bible has many references about how we should behave “one to another”. Listen to this message and see whether we are fulfilling one of the greatest commandments of all … to love thy neighbor as thyself. Jesus said people would know we are his children if we have love one for another.
The Power Of God Series:
There may be no more important chapter for the Christian than Ephesians chapter 6. It teaches us self-defense; how a Christian protects themselves from their enemies. The world, the flesh and the Devil are alive and well, and are bent on rendering us helpless for the glory of God. Listen to see how you can apply spiritual armor to your life ensuring the survival of you and your family.

Envy is one of the most wicked things in this world. It is so bad that Proverbs says, “Who can stand before envy”. It is a mighty foe. Listen to some characters we know well that struggled with it.
Missed The Window But Got The Pain
The children of Israel finally agree that they should take possession of the land flowing with milk & honey. But come to find out, God had closed the door of opportunity because they had refused to take possession of God’s gift. How much will you miss out on due to your delayed obedience?
Balance is a critical element in the Christian life. Due to all that has been given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ, how much do we need to give back in order to balance the scales? Listen and consider all that you owe to those in your life that enabled you to be where you are today.
AWOL means Absent Without Leave in the military. Even Christian soldiers can go AWOL though. Elijah was a great man of God but when his own well being was threatened he “ran to the hills”. Listen and hear how important it is to stay in the fight, regardless of the odds or threat against you. Hold the Fort!
The Bible calls David "A man after God's own heart". Men are not born; men are made. Listen to this message to see all the character traits David possessed, even as a teenager, whereby God was able to anoint him king. If we want our boys to have the blessings of David, we had better get busy instilling in them the character of David.
What kind of woman would the Lord want a man to look for to be his wife? Listen to hear of the qualities Rebekah possessed which made her "The Mate on a Plate" for Isaac.
Nehemiah was an amazing man. Yes, he was the wall builder, but what qualities did he possess which enabled God to use him to rebuild the walls? Listen to see if God could use you as well as a wall builder.
Ishmael and Isaac. Two brothers that did not get along. It reminds us of the constant battle which exists between the flesh and the spirit ... the old man and the new man. Paul instructs the Galatians to cast out the bond woman and her son. Crucifying the flesh is one of the toughest challenges we face as a Christian. Listen to this message to discern whether or not you have cast out Ishmael.
God is no respecter of persons, but He is a respecter of position. Ladies, the key is to find out where God wants you positionally first in order to be all you can be for Him.

create it? The moon has many characteristics that are very similar to
that of the Christian and the Church. Listen to this message to see that
God had a message for us even in His creation of the moon.
How To Keep Your Family Afloat Noah was an amazing man. Spending 120 years building a boat, that there
had ever been a need for. It had never rained before, for God watered
through a mist which came up from the ground. The Bible says "By faith
Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear,
prepared an ark to the saving of his house;" Let's take a look at Noah's
life and glean from the man that saved his family from the judgment of
God. Listening to the Word of God will help us to keep our families
afloat as well.
With the increased security after 9/11, everyone is more intense on making sure you are who you say you are. Nothing is more detrimental to our Christian testimony than hoplessness. Allow this message to encourage you to keep a hold of the rope till you hear the trumpet blow
When David was being challenged by his son Absalom, might be one of the lowest points of David's life. It was at this time that God allowed some situations into David's life to really prove him. Anybody can respond and behave properly when they are on the mountain top, but will you continue to do right when you are in the valley of the shadow of death? David did!
There are many times in my life that I remember choking. It is not a pleasant memory when you consider not being able to breathe. Spiritually speaking there are situations which strangle our Christianity. Listen to how many Christians are being asphyxiated to death.
The tactics used by Absalom, in taking over his father David's kingdom, were devilish to say the least. Listen to this sermon so that you won't be ignorant of his devices as he tries to work the same way in your life.
How many times have you wanted to quit the Christian race? This God-given example helped me more than any other in my Christian life when the temptation was there to let go. Listen to how a wasp on the hood of my car encourage this man to not let go no matter what.
The Bible refers to 10 things which must be done daily. These 10 essential vitamins are a must for maintaining a healthy Christian life. Listen to see how healthy you are.
The word Selah is found several times in the Bible. It means to pause and think about what you just read. This message focuses on the things found in Psalm 32 that David says we really need to think about.
We are commanded to resist the Devil and he will flee. The Devil is very is resisting us at the same time. It is a spiritual wrestling match. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Listen to this message to hear what Satan is intent on resisting in your Christian life.
Have you ever considered what pleases God? You say "Doing right." Well, what is right? Listen to this message to hear the things that the Bible specifically describes as pleasing to God.
When the going gets tough the tough are supposed to get going. The question is what direction are we going? We often times escape the pressure of the Christian life by going back to what is familiar to us. Hear how Peter was confronted, broken, and made into the disciple that saw 3000 souls saved shortly thereafter.
When we clean do we only address the areas which are seen by others? The Bible says that man looks on the outward but God looks on the heart. God would have us clean up even the unseen dirt so that we are sanctified and meet for the Master's use and prepared unto every good work. So are you as spotless within as you are without?
Busy, busy, busy ... somebody please yell STOP! The book of Daniel prophesies that in the last days many shall run to and fro. In this message we will hear how Jesus handled the hustle and bustle of His day while trying to meet the needs of everyone. Listen to this message and maybe it will give you the understanding necessary to be able to the next "May I interrupt you?"
God commands us to learn from His creation. The animal kingdom is a wonderful teacher. The Bible says to "consider the ant." There are many things we can learn from what has been instinctively placed in the animals He created. The biblical passages regarding the eagle are among the best. Mothers should listen to this message if they care about raising their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
Preparation meets opportunity. How many times in your life have you kicked yourself for having missed a golden opportunity? The best way to take advantage of these times is to always be ready. Listen to how the Apostle Paul prepared himself for whatever the Lord brought next into his life for his good and God's glory.
Serving the Lord is the purpose of our Christianity. How much more fulfilling would marriage be if we ministered together? Marriage and ministry is always better together.
The stickers which are placed on items in a garage sale, reflect the value the seller has placed on them. What would the sticker amount be if you placed one upon the mercy the Lord has shown you? The value of the sticker would reflect your value of it. The value of it would be directly proportional to our sense of indebtedness which motivates us to do something for Him in return. If you are doing nothing for Him, then is it not true that you have placed "A Two Cent Sticker On Mercy?"
Most people would classify a reprobate as someone like Judas Iscariot, but there are some characteristics of a reprobate which might even be applied to faithful , church attending, folks that tithe, pray and read their Bibles. Listen to this message to hear if there might be some reprobate in you.
Peter was a man that usually had to learn things the hard way. We usually have a rather negative opinion of Peter, but listen to this message to hear how Peter finally got a hold of Christ. Has the Lord touched you? Praise the Lord that when He forgives, He forgets. Our worst enemy after being forgiven is ourselves. Listen to how merciful and loving the Lord is when He refuses to rememeber what He has forgotten. With the busyness of life, and the seemingly endless influx of new issues which enter our lives daily, is it any wonder that there is little to no room left for the Lord. Listen to how the Lord slowly but surely gets crowded out. Over the course of time things seem to lose their excitement. The new bike you got for Christmas last year does not hold the same excitement when you get on to ride this year. It has become "old hat." Remember how excited the children of Israel were when they first received the manna from heaven? It surely did not end up with the same enthusiasm. Can you remember the day of your salvation? Oh, how sweet it was! The three things we must do is Remember the Day ... Remember the Deliverer ... and Remember the Duty. Listen to the warnings Paul the Apostle gave to Timothy regarding authority. He describes those that want to be an authority or teacher, and contrasts them who are really qualified. In a day and age when everyone is an "authority" on something, it is refreshing to see them for who they really are. Ever rake a yard only to have a wind storm cover the yard once again; or shovel snow from your driveway only to have a blizzard the next day? So much of what we do for the Lord ends up in vain when we do not do it with the right motivations. Paul the Apostle went through a lot for the cause of Christ, but he knew through it all that it was not in vain. Is the labor of many that has been invested into your life all in vain. See how the Lord designed the ministry of evangelism. Going into the uttermost parts of the earth starts with the one right next to you. If each one would reach one, starting with our own sphere of influence, this world would be reached for Jesus Christ. Formation Of A Friend Series Abraham was known as "the friend of God." There should not be a Chrisitian alive that would not want that said about them. As we look into this series we will see all the trials, lessons, failures, and victories that it took to form Abraham into a man that the Bible would refer to as God's friend. If you implemented the truths expounded upon in this series, there is no reason one day you too could not be known as the friend of God.
